Hello, my hair is a medium brown and i want to have my stylist color my hair blonde. I heard i could only go 3 shades lighter so what shade would that be then??? If i were to highlight it instead, would she have to use bleach? I'm not sure what to do. My skin is real fair for blonde. Would they highlight it all the way around your head? I'm not sure. thanks

Hi, your stylist would have to bleach your hair with 30 vol(9%) or 40 vol(12%) of peroxide to acheive a light blonde,as this will give up to five shades of lift, as your hair is so dark. It really all depends on your hair, If you have any prevoiuse colour done, as it has to also remove the artificail hair colour too. I would advise you to have all over hilights done, as this would probably suit your pale skin.
Yes i changed my mind and decided to go with blonde highlights instead. I hope it looks good. how often would i get them done then? could you color it all blonde after if you changed your mind? thanks

You will only need to have your roots done, every 6 to 8 weeks. And yes you could have it all bleached if you change your mind, I would strongly advise against this as bleching the whole head can cause so much damage to your hair. If the stylist does a good job with hilighting your whole head I think you will be suprised how light it will turn out.
do you know of any good sites that i can see pics on of highlights on hair with light a medium brown with blonde highlights? I want alot of highlights. what should i tell her? Not stripes though. thanks

Ask for weaved high-lights, this is when they take a section of the hair and weave in and out of that section to get smaller sections, which is weaved hi-lights.
Sorry but I have never heard it called frosted, as long as she says your natural hair colour and the hi lights blend together, I suppose diffrent hairstylist call it a diffrent techneique.
