I have looked all over the internet for how to videos and cant find any, the links from here are all dead.
WShat exactly do I need to order? I know the obvious items.. but since this is my frist time I don't exacatly what to buy. I would like to get this started before the end of June.

I believe Doctored Locks still has a tutorial on it.
But basic items are a heat wand, a threader or needle of somekind (make sure its one that it usable for shrinks as some are not). Those are what would be considered the bare essentials, but you could also benefit from having finger protectors and a plastic template that keeps the bond hair seprate from the rest.

I tried the shrinks a couple week ago for the first time, installing on a mannequin head. I really loved the ease of them! Just play with various seconds of using the heat wand on them to see what outcome works best, depending on the temperature used. I used the finger protectors at first, but now I feel more comfortable working without them, the bond doesn't burn me. But that's just me.
I didn't see any videos out there on how-to, but I followed the tutorial pics on yourhairshop.com
For shrinks you need an I tip. This is also called a shoe-lace tip, because well, it looks like one. You can also by hair on the weft, and tip the hair yourself, it is less expensive this way, but not always for beginners as it can require a larger investment both for money and time in the beginning and can be a lil tricky.
the shrink word is censored, as are several websites in that way because of various conroversies over either ownership of that word (ie who has the trademark and whether or not that means anyone else can use it) or personal/buisness issues with a particular vendor - if you're looking for the full story on why anything gets censored, check out diyextensions.net - its a very open forum that discusses controversial topics.

When you use I tips (never use U...) coat the tip with nail glue (the kind you glue fake finger nails with), this will help preserve the keratin coating from shedding and melting...so we understand...
