I have been a fan of Amel Larrieux for some time and have both of her CDs but really love Bravebird (her most recent CD) the best.

(Images above (L-R) of Amel with her lovely daughter - both curly girls - and Amel with hair up in messy bun and will hair down in full curly glory - all images with express permission granted to by - all rights reserved).
To vote on Amel's hair visit:
Amel has naturally curly hair and often wears it au natural with her curls a magnificent creation.
Amel has been quoted to the media as saying "we all have different ideas of what is beautiful.  It's not just what is on the outside, the way your hair flows a certain way or the color color of your eyes.  It's what you have on the inside that makes you like no other person.  That is beautiful".
Amel has a daughter who also has naturally curly hair.  What a lucky girl to have a mom who understands whats its like to embrace natural curls.
According to Wikipedia, Amel is part French and part African American.
that she only washes her hair every 2-3 weeks and uses a lot of pomades and focuses on adding moisture.  Amel also tells hairdressers on any photo shoots she does not to touch her hair because she likes it the way it is.
Products she loves for her naturally curly hair include:

Nexxus Humectress as a leave-in
Pro-Line's coconut oil
Clairol' Vitapoint Creme hairdress & conditioner
Monoi de Tahiti
Indian hemp as her pomade.
Please share any tidbits you might have about this gorgeous and very talented curly haired celebrity.

That which doesn't kill you makes you stronger or drives you totally insane. :-)
