This lawsuit, which has won International attention involves the fact that a man claimed his suit pants were lost by a dry cleaning establishment that advertised "Satisfaction Guaranteed".
The man whose pants were lost sued for $54 Million Dollars.
The dry cleaners won the case after a lot of mental anguish and personal expense and trauma brought by the long term lawsuit. The dry cleaners did offer to replace the pants and ultimately the suit. They made several financial offers to settle the case but the suit was continued by the plaintiff.
Roy L. Pearson (an administrative judge), 57, originally sued Custom Cleaners for about $65 million by adding up violations under the act and almost $2 million in common law claims. He is no longer seeking damages related to the pants, focusing his claims on two signs in the shop that have since been removed.
