Don't Know What to do With My Hair Anymore

My hair is waist length and very straight. It doesn't hold curl at all. My hairs pretty much all one length. I can't have bangs because I struggle with acne, and between the oil from my hair and skin, it makes me break out too much. I usually just either leave my hair down, put in a headband, or tie it back. I don't know what else to do. I'm afraid to cut it because I've had long hair like forever. I was thinking of dying my hair brown though. I've had layers and I don't really like them too much.
Anyone have any ideas on how I can put my hair up or back or how I should cut it?

I don't want to go too dark brown in case I want to dye it back blond or grow it out. I don't know how short I'd go. Depends on how much I like the cut. And I don't like blowdrying my hair, and I don't even have a straightener, so I don't want a haircut that I'd have to style using heat everday.

HI Heather. I know you posted a while ago, but I thought I 'd give you some ideas anyway.  I like the blonde on you too. Maybe you could do just front layers starting from the chin or lips or something. THen the back wouldn't be layered, but your hair would frame your face more when you wear it down. Also, since your hair doesn't hold curl, you could try sleeping with a bun on top of your head to give you more volume and you might not get that kink.
