QuoteReplyTopic: Ideas for my new hairstyle - *pic included* Posted: July 08 2007 at 7:42am
Hello everyone!
I'm hoping you can all help me out about ideas for my hair. I hate going to the hairdressers sometimes because I always feel I've been let down so I keep chopping and changing hairdressers. Anyway, I'm never brave enough to try a new style so I always keep the same one to be safe!
I'm feeling like a change maybe! I'm a student and 20 years old. My natural hair colour is blonde and I've never been any other colour, although I have been having it highlighted for about 5 years now. Last year my friends dyed it brown from a bottle but it went horribly wrong and turned out orange so I had to go to the hairdressers and get it fixed back to blonde again.
I was thinking about going dark properly at the hairdressers - but do you think I would suit it as I am very pale? If so, what colour? I'm very open to suggestions :)
Also - should I go shorter with a pob or something similar? I'd like a fringe maybe but also a style that doesn't make me look too young.
Or should I stick with the way it is? Is that best for me? As you can tell I'm very unsure!
I really like Gillian Anderson's hair here - I really like the sophisticated look, but it suits her, and it might be too drastic for me. Let me know what you think.
I love the color, maybe getting a cut first and getting used to that
than maybe a color if you still want. Your hair is long so a cut
will be a shock to get used to first.
24" of hair as of 7/7/07 Goal: 33"

Okay, how about some sideswept bangs to change up your look a little? Then, instead of dyeing your hair dark I would suggest going to a salon (a good one) and asking for some subtle lowlights. Just enough to add a little depth to your color without it being a drastic change. The thing with going completely dark is that it will be too much of a shock for you after being so light. Like last time, you may end up running back to the salon and begging for highlights in order to be light again. Been there, done that so I know all too well what it's like to go from blonde to brunette and then freak out about it!
Your hair is really gorgeous. The length is nice on you. If you want to go short, maybe try it in stages? It might be a bit of a shock to go from that long to short in one step. But then again, I err on the side of conservative when it comes to changing my hair. Someone more adventurous may tell you to go for it. It's up to you in the end. Let us know what you decide!

The second picture 100 percent! It will suit your complexion perfect, and with your hair being shorter it will be lighter. So it will seem to have more lift.
You will look gorgeous, go for it!
