QuoteReplyTopic: Pics of my 1st wefts ever!!!!! Posted: July 14 2007 at 12:02pm
Please tell me my pics worked. its my 1st time trying to post pics.
Woo-hoo I got 2 tracks of custom color ordered Italian hair put in.. my 1st time!!She thought 2 was enough since my top and bangs are so thin so it would look natural. I like it so far!!. I have dreamed of long hair since I was 5 but my thin hair never grew.
I am so glad they color matches thats why I did the custom.
My head is a little soar getting used to the tightness still but everyone says it looks real.
The only thing I dont like 100% about the weft procedure is that the hair on my sides, right about my ears is still short, so I am a little self consious about that. I dont want it to look like a big Mullet! I try to blend it in. but It looks great in a headband with those short pieces held back.
any other suggestions other than a little gel, conditioner to made sure my ends stay down in back and blend in with the other hair?
The color match is great!! And it seems to blend good in the back, but I would post some side shots of what you are talking about so that you can get some opinions on the sides.
let me try and post a side shot... I think for my piece of mine and to make it look more real, I will have to use a clip/barrett/headband something to clip back the short sides that stick out to me. It still looks cute with clips in.
That was the only reason I was going to do fusion so those short sides could be covered and lengthened. Oh well, I still love it!

Very pretty and great color match. You might think about another row or two....reason being.....you could layer the back a tad bit more and then layer your sides to get a perfect blend. I have the same problem and adding more hair and layering it makes it blend great. As your hair grows you will be able to take those layers longer and may need less hair over time.
I have the same problem but it's getting better over time....at first I had to wear more hair on my sides and add individual strands around my ears to help cover that problem. Now I simply layer the 2 tracks that go from temple to temple and it blends perfectly.....just had to bite the bullet and let my sides grow out more.
Thanks,

Current install-Bohyme Bodywave #30 and #14 in the straight hair/ they didn't have the #14 in bodywave, so I mixed them...works great!
Beautiful! it looks great from the back and a very nice color. I would never even guess that was extensions! I think doing less hair sometimes can actually make it look more real like how your natural hair would be if it could just grow a bit longer. You can also use tiny clips on the side until it grows out a little more. You know just those cheapy ones you can can get a whole bunch at the drugstore. It looks really cute.

The color and the texture look like a perfect match to your hair!
My real hair is very short and I wear 22' extensions so I know what you mean by the sides being too short. I think if the difference between the extensions length and your real hair length is too big, you can't wear wefts only in the back. I know that personally having some small pieces of weft on each sides is extremely important, I couldn't go without them. I have three single rows on one side, and four on the other side I part my hair on the side so that is why I want a bit more volume on one side than on the other.
If it bugs you too much, you can try to do clip ins with Bohyme, or the same hair you ordered, or put the mini wefts yourself with some Liquid Gold, it is very easy!
I agree...this looks really nice. The color and texture match looks pretty flawless.
Flyaway, natural hair can be solved by adding in more extension hair or giving your hair some curl or wave where your own hair meets with the extensions. Curls or waves are very forgiving. :)
Very nice!! Did you put two tracks, double wefts? Are they positioned straight across? Mine are in a horse shoe shape, temple to temple so the front is blended. I feel like I could use more in the front but it's fine.
I agree with Krimsa, less is more. If you fill up your head with tracks it starts to look fake.
