OK.  I have heard so many opinions over the years.  Some hairdressers way that it really doesn't matter where you go to cosmetology school, they say the important thing is to "do the time" and get the hours to pass the boards.

Other hairdressers say that it is important to go to the best school you can afford in order to be really floor ready when you leave your school.

Do you have an opinion?  What is your experience?  Please share.
That which doesn't kill you makes you stronger or drives you totally insane. :-)

Hi i am new here but i see no one posted an answer so i will voice my opinion. I am an owner/stylist/educator and i think it depends on the person. My mother is a hairdresser and i grew up in her salon and so for me i think it was just doing the time. As an educator I tell the students you need to invest your time and energy in learning. Some people take the initative and some do not. Some have to be sp[oonfed the information.

The good thing about going to school is that you have the advantage when it comes to knowledge, you have basis. you have the theory then the experience.

A good school of fashion, as can be found in Los Angeles can make a big difference in the future. Giving you the best fashion design education can be a top priority.
