What is going to be the trend in 2002?
I just read on a German hairdresser page that the bed head/spiked look it totally out and we are going to see more 60s and 70s influence.
From catwalk shows I`ve seen long, sleek hair seems to be in.
What do you think is going to be the year 2002 in hair?

ThanX for sharing,
Leanan

Yes Iceman I also heard of this on the news. The thing is that it will probably make it way over here sooner because three of our provinces, Quebec,( MOntreal) Ontario (Toronto) and BC (Vancouver )tends to follow the fashion world. The spike look was already there four years ago in Toronto where I seen it for myself when I was going to a restaurant. Those guys were walking around with very high spikes and colour hair.
I wonder if Quebec being the french province will follow the mullet look. IN some ways I find that tough to imagine but who knows. People tend to want to look chic over there hummmmm.

I live in Michigan and I have noticed quite recently more and more mullets are coming out on both men and women. Now some look just like a home jobby gone totaly wrong, or maybe trying to fix the weed eater and it got turned on by mistake. Personaly myself I have no problems with the mullet as I had one in the 80`s. Not a bad haircut to take care of, besides that, I prefered the mullet over the haircuts the old man used to give (you know the traditional bowl cut) especially when he had a rough day at work! (OUCH) Sure they may have named this haircut after a fish but what the heck, its just a haircut.......

Peace and long live the mullet! Rock on!!!!

Please tell me this is a joke! The Mullet is making a comeback. I`m entering beauty school in December this year and I`d hate to think that I`d have to learn how to do this "hairstyle."

Me thinks the French have a seen a bit to much "Joe Dirt." :)

Not a Wanna Be for much longer.

I guess if the mullet is coming back I`m going to dare to be different and be "out of style" this year.
Actually I read the bible (cosmo) and they were predicting like longer, wavy hair. I may have been reading it too fast or what but that`s what I think I remember. Just the loose "romantic" hair.

I`ll take that anyday over the mullet.....

Ban the Mullet!!!!!!

"2 years before it reaches the states..."

Good! That gives us plenty of time to defend ourselves from that god-awful look!

Extremer versions of 50`s style brilliantine coifs are `in`, especially for women.

And for men.. well, the mohawk, thanks to David Beckham.

On the less extreme side, (naturally) curly hair is making a comeback as well.
