how did ya used 2 think waves were made b4 findin dis site or findin the truth?

i rememebr i used 2 think da spaces in da brushes were wat made dem n wud try 2 indent ma hair wit da spaces lol

i thought it was only from pomade so i used it and nothing happened i was P!SSEDCry but i found out how to get them properly thats how i got them

I thought that people just brushed a lot. The people that I knew had waves, but they were so dry it was like lookin at the desert. This other kid had "The best waves in the school" and his ish was caked with pomade.

I used to think the cause of waves was the durag the tighter the durag the better your waves LOL

A long @ss time ago (this was back when i had a fro and didn't give a damn about my hair) i used to think waves were done like how females got straightening perms. I thought they had to be done at a parlor because they looked all slick and smooth.
 
Then i used to think that peeps would get lines carved into their hair when i saw very light ceasers wit waves.

I always knew it was by brushing and securing it with a durag I learned how to wave the right way with nothing just a brush and durag.

aw ayne, heres a story for ya
 
in 03 ( i was 13 @ the time) i had no fukin clue
ma dad was like, brush and keep your hair at the almost bald level
 
it would grow to the length of a 2 and he'd tell me to cut it again
 
i was like wtf, i have no hair to have waves in lol
 
so i grew it out a lil
 
and OMFG i regret this sh*t to this day...i took a bunch of strings(yarn) and i placed them on my head to make circles, and then i put on a durag and the next morning i had little indents that where percect circles and i was like "hell yea n****!"
ppl saw me and was like..."do you know you have lines in your head" i was like yeah and they said " did you sleep on sumthin weird"
they was speechless cause in realitry they looked like sh*t, lmao

Damn I forgot about why I came in this thread lol

To be honest, I can't even remember what I used to think. The earliest memory I have of that is when I thought wearing a durag gets you waves this was back in like 2nd grade or 3rd grade.

Well when i was about 7 or 8 my moms friend had told me about wave and how he use to have em. So I asked him how to get them and he said just brush and that is what i did. I was spinnin hard as hell when i was young too.
