I posted this on another forum but I didnt feel like rewritin it so......u kno LOL. Feedback is greatly appreciated.
I'm training 2 play football in college next year. I've always played tailback but I played Safety this year bcuz I went 2 a new school and there were 3 good tailbacks and there was an open spot at safety. Wanna move back 2 tailback. I wanna continue 2 gain muscle so I can add some size for football but I need alot of strength 2. I was thinking maybe I could continue 2 do muscle building for 8 weeks, then go 2 strength training for 8 weeks, go back 2 muscle building for 4 weeks, and then strength training again for 4 weeks. I'm gonna do some speed training somewhere in there, jus dont kno when i'm gonna start yet.
Trial 1.) 8 Weeks Muscle Building Trial 1.) 8 Weeks Strength Training Trial 2.) 4 Weeks Muscle Building Trial 2.) 4 Weeks Strength Training
When I start my first trial of strength training after my muscle building, will I lose much size? I dont wanna lose much bcuz I wanna b 15 lbs heavier by the time June starts.
I kno i'm gonna get slower after putting on the lbs so I'm gonna do speed training 2(maybe the last 8 weeks) so that might stop me from putting on a few lbs then.
Also I heard that doing high reps(around 20) develops fast twitch muscles(dont kno if its true or not). If so could the fast twich muscles help me run faster? If it does would I still b limited 2 working each muscle group once per week? Bcuz I would still have around 3-4 weeks after my last trial of strength training b4 I leave. I ran a 4.8 40 yard dash at the beginning of the season(dont kno wat it is now)and I wanna get it 2 4.5 or lower if its possible in 12 weeks.
I've looked at a few football workouts and they're basically the same thing our team had 2 do when I was a freshman in the offseason. I dont kno how it worked on me bcuz then I went 2 the weight room, signed in, let the coach c me and left. I was 2 embarrased 2 lift bcuz I was pretty damn weak, and I mean WEEEEEAAAK (After freshman year I didnt play again till my senior year(this year). I kno I didnt have a desire 2 play football freshman year and I really wasnt motivated, but alot has changed in 3 years. Although I've been highly motivated for months, my motivation has gon 2 a whole new level this past month). Those who actually did use the workout gained minimal size and some decent strength. Thats y I want 2 kno how my plan will work instead of using the football workout.
So guys, overall plan Good or Bad? I'm working really hard and taking my training very seriously. Do u all think I can make some great improvement in the time I have?

Damn J-Kid gluck with that but yea dont allow your chest and triceps to outgrow the rest of your body. That almost happened to me but with my shoulders and triceps so I've been workin the lower body just as much as the upper body. I can bench 260 now 5x

I won't I try to keep as balanced as possible and I can't go back to the weights until basketball season is over because I need to maintain my lightening quickness after the season is over though I will work to my goals and once a week in the gym I hit up every part of my body just so I can maintain my muscle mass. Me right now 184lbs., me without my muscle mass probably 145lbs.
man, ain't no one post here in a min...but im sure it'll be back poppin in da spring :) im bout to be on my game for 3 months then head back to the boxing gym if there are no physical issues.
yup. I haven't really lost weight but I've filled out. I look more like a man than a kid. My body's pretty evenly proportioned now. Just got to lose that tummy fat and I'll be on point. LOL at the ross beard sleepy.

UPDATE: I fell off god damn, I started going back to the gym last night. Just copped some muscle milk (cookies n'cream) sh*t tastes good as hell. Im at 182now...thats crazy I stop working out and I lost nearly 20pounds.
Im doing the 6month challenge basically this inludes a physical workout everyday here's my regiment that I will continue for the next 6months.
SUNDAYS: Strictly lower body + 8min ab workout MONDAYS: Strictly upperbody + 8min ab workout TUESDAYS: Spending 1hour in a pool and getting a full body workout, followed by suicides (basketball players know what I mean) + 8min abs WEDNESDAYS: Strictly lower body + 8min ab workout THURSDAYS: Strictly upper body + 8min ab workout FRIDAYS: Pool workout + Calistetics + Free Weights SATURDAYS: Resting, Eating, & Sleeping
Whoever wants to join me in the 6month challenge by all means post your progress after each month.

three's no winning or losing fam...the challenge is to get the most out of the workout. I go by ^^ that schedule now and I will continue to for 6months.
for example: my goals are to get back my weight and then some. Some muscle proportion, and get rid of some body fat. I'm trying to reach 225pounds I should be able to do that in 6months. Now only that but as far as waves goes the march 1st battle's will be my last for awhile. Im not leaving waves or anything im just molding my pattern.
