hi i'm trying to find a name for this hair cut i want. i think it was popular in the 30 or 40s. the sides and back are real short and the bangs are real long like chin length. then the bangs are slicked back with some pomeade or somethin

Sounds like a greaser perhaps.

Try searching google for 30's hair styles or 40's hair styles.
