Is clairol natural instincts a demi or a semi permanent?
how about loreal castings?
which one is better?
any help would be appreciated

HI Rita,
L`Oreal Castings is a demi permanent, it uses a low volume peroxide. Probably a 5 or 10 volume. That means it gives very little (if any) lift. A demi has a low peroxide and no ammonia. Although they may use something that acts like ammonia but is not really it.
Clairol Natural Instincts is also a demi like the above.
A semi has no peroxide/ no ammonia/ uses direct dyes to stain the hair. Clairol`s Beautiful Collection is a semi but you can only buy it at a professional beauty supply store.
I am not sure which brand of demi performs better because I have not used them yet. I have heard that L`Oreal is better. L`Oreal is the one I am going to try very soon. I like there professional line of hair color so I am hoping the quality is as good.
