About a month ago I stripped the red out of my hair, and was left with a mess. I couldn't find a toner or semi-permanent to adhere to it, and so I've been using Manic Panic since then to conceal the ugliness. The only thing is, every four or five days I have to reapply to my midshaft and ends because they are so porous. The roots are fine and held the color nicely.

I've heard of protein fillers...is this what they are for? (Filling in the porous so color will take evenly?) And, has anyone ever used them or have any info on them? Thanks!

So, do I rinse it out before putting the color on, or do I keep it on?

the directions are on the bottle, but you put it on and keep it on for 20 minutes then apply the color...it should really help keep color in and take it evenly.  you do not rinse it out you put the color on top of it.
happy coloring
