Hi everyone. I hope someone can help me here. I just bought a used Mountaineer and it has all wheel drive and a button marked overdrive. Does this need to be on of off? I looked in the book, but I didn't see anything about it.

Any help would be great! Thanks

For normal driving, turn the override button off.

Thanks for the reply. I found mixed opinions after I searched this last night. Some said leave it on all the time, others said turn it on only when driving on the highway.

Okay, another questionEmbarrassed

When putting the car in reverse or drive, should it roll automatically? When I put it in drive it doesn't move until i hit the gas, same way when in reverse. Is that okay?  TIA!!

Many cars drive forward or backwards when you shift into the appropriate gear.  But, if your car is idling at the correct level, I wouldn't worry if it isn't.
