can be done?

We would use cheaper quality extensions, with microlinks. Then Backcomb and palm roll. Could it be done?

It could be done but the problem you'll have is when your own hair grows through into dreads they'll be much thinner because you'll have your hair plus a load of extension hair in the ends...
....so the better way of doing it is dreading your own hair and then latch-hooking extension hair through near to the ends of your own dreads, then dreading it all up and latching through the ends of your hair into the extension too so it's more secure.
It's a long process but by far the best way to extend natural dreads.

Hope that helps!
