QuoteReplyTopic: Question about Dying my hair Posted: October 25 2002 at 11:01am
I`m working on growing out a very very bad perm. When I first got it done my hair was like mush, it was connected to other strands of hair and it was terrible. I went and had alot of it cut off and the ends are still fairly dry. My natural hair color is a light brown/dark blonde and I had dyed it blonde right before my perm. Now the question is: I haven`t processed my hair in about 2 monthes, since I got the perm and my roots are terrible! I`m scared to dye it because of causing further damage but it`s embarassing and looks ridiculous. Does anybody know of any gentle OTC hair dye that wouldn`t damage it really bad? PUHLEEZ help me!
Miss Sagitarius, If you have damaged permed hair, why not cut it off in a cute attractive ultra-short style which can look so sexy on a woman, especially with the right makeup and a lovely pair of long dangle earrings!

Hey! Yikes- dyeing your hair can be dangerous, huh? A friend of mine uses Garnier Lumia & it doesn`t seem to hurt her hair at all but its in very good condition already & she doesn`t dye it in any other way- still, that stuff is supposed to be very gentle. You might want to get it done professionally, or wait a little while longer (I know thats not what you want to hear :( ). OTC hair dyes, especially permanent ones, and even more especially bleaching/ light blond colors, can do major damage (I`ve been there). Anyway, hope I could help! Love, Ingrid
