Hi Ladies,

My wig cap will not stay put....it is the devil diablodiablodiablo

I suffer from small forehead syndrome.  I have tried tape and many, many different types of glue to keep my wig cap right in front of my hairline.  Everytime without fail, it slides back and winds up in my nape!  Any suggestions to keep it in place?  I am going to try taping the wig cap material to my lf so that I don't have to wear one at all.

Thanks

Thats works, or you could sew the edges to your unit. Are you using an actually wig cap or a stockings? I find that the stockings hold better with adhesive and blends into the skin better if you cut the band off. Most times I glue my stockings to the very edge of my hairline and use bobby pins to hold it down in the back. And yea, I have a small forehead too lol it sucks, because I have to get my apps just right or my part ends up to low on my face and that aint cute lol

Both of ya'll heffas make me sick. I have a humongous forehead that I could rent add space on for extra money. I definately cannot relate to your problem but good luck anyway. Smile

Countessrim:  I have to try that.  Yes, when you have a small or medium forehead and place that unit just a HAIR in front of where it shoud be, we look like extras from a kung fu movie.  Not cute!!!

CurlyGirl:  Now you know you have to give a diva warnings before you type stuff like that.  I spit out my diet pepsi laughing at your post.  And you know i LOVE some diet pepsi...

Kalenjin:   I will give the nexcare a try....isn't that a bandaid?

I wish I had a small head....I have the big head from hell....IF I use queen size knee highs my head still starts to hurt within 2 days and the wig caps I love that fit my big dome come in the wrong color.

The coband is like one of these, i like it coz its self adhering so even if it slips a little, it wont go all the way. a little tape in the front secures it for quite a while

I like Curly (Hi Curly Hug) have a big head 23.5 cir. I still had issues with the cap sliding back at first. I always use queen size stocking cap. I stretch the heck out of them. Then I put two wide layers of Davlyn scalp protector all round the parameter, pull the stocking down over half of my wide layer of scalp protectant, put a layer thin layer of Vapon on my stocking cap edge and my skin where I will be attaching the wig, lastly I use my BL tape all around the parameter of my head over the Vapon. That bad boy does not move at all.

I did have issues such as the hurt as Unladylike mentioned, but I found an easy remedy for that by simply making a small cut to the elastic band on the stocking to relieve the pressure, then I do all of my layers of Vapon and BL.
The grass is never greener on the other side, there is just more manure underneath.

I use the 3in wide Coban tape and I measured a 12" long strip and sewed the edges together to make a headband. It protects my hairline from the adhesive, and it won't budge.
