the darkening under the eyes are caused by the rupture of the tiny blood vessels. Kind of like a bruise. Sorry to say the best thing is more rest. key is rest. sleep may not mean rest. people that sleep 8 hours does not mean they can rest for 8 hours. Start by reducing stress, exercise a bit, eat healthier.

I used to have this problem, my dr said it was diet.  I don't remember what he told me to increase - iron maybe.

It can also be a sign of a thyroid disorder. 

I didn't find any creams that helped me, but that must have been b/c it was caused by my diet - so maybe it will be different for you.

Hi Mocha!  I have been using lemon plus natural fade cream by clear essence.  The darkness I had under my eyes are going away and now I no longer need additonal makeup to cover the area.  You can get more info on this product line at www.clearessence.com  I hope this helps a little my sister.

Hey,
 
Is there anyone on this forum who has under eye dark circles. What cream or solution can you use to get rid of or lighten them.
I have dark circles that show really bad. I've done some research on different creams, just want to know if anyone had had any luck in using any particular solution.
