Not all asian hair is bad, but you really want to find good remy hair where the cuticle is aligned in the right direction :D Yes, many people love Bohyme, they seem to be very consistent with quality.

Thank you Metagirl. What you suggesed if I needed to perm is what we did; however I am beginning to think it was just not good hair (this hair was Asian hair).  I have heard Bohyme is the best and is also the most expensive from what I can tell.  Someone suggested European cutical remy hair in French Wave.  I am told that it stays beautiful wash after wash for several months and will not tangle or get matted because all of the cuticles are still in tact and aligned in the original growth pattern. Does anyone have any knowledge on this?

You may want to try Bohyme French Refined.
 
For the record, although it can be done, and I have done it in a pinch, it's not recommended that you perm extension hair since it's already so processed.   If you do need to perm it, the procesing time is usually just a few mintutes and then rinse it off and air neutralize it for the next 48 hours.  Don't use the bottle neutralizer, since that appears to be damaging to the hair (that's what I was told by the New Concepts hairpiece seminar that I attended.)

I am brand new to extensions and you all are so knowledgeable I thought I would ask you a few questions.  Please forgive me if I do not use the correct terminology but it appears there are many different word for the same item  lol

I would like to try the I-Tip Extension (no glue just a clip)  if I am not mistaken I think they are also called microrings or extendtubes.  I thought I saw on this forums somewhere on how to apply them; which had pictures also, but unfortunately I cannot seem to locate that again.  After looking at my girlfriends hair; whose hair is exactly like mine, (curley not wave and dark brown) the process seemed extremely simple.  However what I did not like was the hair after it had been in for a month I believe.  It seemed so dry looking and had a lot of rats and did now flow like natural hair.  I know she got the hair from Sunny's Beauty Supply, Saphire collection 18" that was 100% Remy hair; however they only sold straight hair so she permed the hair because she could not find curly hair.  I would like to try this proces on my hair but do not want that.  Can you recommend what type of 18" hair that is curly to purchase? Thank you
