Need advice on hair style

Hi,

I've been trying to find a hair style that would look good on me, but can't really find much. I'm sort of fat, and my hair seems to be thinning. I usually get it cut short and spiked, or just cut really short, but I'm never really happy with either style, I just do it to avoid going back again so soon.

I'm looking for some suggestions on something for my hair, heres a picture.
