I think this look would be great for her. Color is fantastic, for a cut, I would recommend slight layering/piecieness to give it an edgy look. Good luck, let us know how it turns out.

well well, as usual she changed her mind i was a lot bored when she came home and it was only dyed , NOT CUT
i will not be posting ANYMORE until i see an actual cut
** there will be a short cut before christmas that is all i can say as of now**
any interest in seeing it dyed dark?

yah well she decided not to cut it at the salon Cry.
she said she wants to let everyone see her with hair again
(we are going away to a big family event this weekend)
she said she misses the how easy the short hair was and wants it again just not now
so i said gimme a date
she said def. before christmas!!
the dye is almost black and it looks very selma blair
 
i like it alot
in fact i like her hair how it is but you know the shorter i think is prettier
it is getting pretty long it has been  over 6 months since her last cut and even that cut was not her typical short angled bob with the shorter back
the nape has grown out to her shoulders and the front is past her shoulders (really looks nice)
here are 2 of  the most current pics i have and also a pic of the cut she will be getting next time she cuts it
as well as a pic of the color she has now (an old pic but same color)
i will try my best to get a new pic of the color and length

I agree. Once my wife had long hair and wanted to cut it and I was against it even though myyself being a stylist. She did want it cut and I would not do it for her. One day my friend did her cut and I had no say because I was not there. When she came home and I had seen the happiness in her I felt bad that I was trying to control her looks. As I find out as we grow older many of wifes try to please their husbands by trying to keep their hair long or short as to what their husband wants.
I will never ask for her to do that again. If she wants it cut she gets it, if she wants it to grow she does it.
Did you ever take notice as to how many ladies cut their hair after a life changing event such as a divorce or loss of a love one?
What other views are out there?

I think you hit the nail on the head! sometimes a new job or opportunity at work will cause a change.Long hair can be pretty but, short hair is sexy!

I agree, sometimes people, not just women, want a change after a "big" event in their lives (either positive or negative).  I believe it is to show that they have started over and are doing things thier way with a fresh start. 
Shortvslong, I like that quote...."Long hair can be pretty but, short hair is sexy"  very true!

Well can I just tell you a story of a client that came into have her hair done in our salon, and this is true.
 
Her ex had control over what she could wear and what she could do with her hair, thats probably why he is now an ex, anyway she sat in my chair and said I want all my hair cut off, she gave me an idea as to a style. The whole way through this ladies cut she cried, I got a bit of a shock as to why she was crying, I thought she hates the cut, but it was years of relief that she can finally take control of her hair, it was tears of joy.

Karen - I get that all of the time.  Many men love to have their women with longer hair and it seems once that relationship is over, the women come wanting to chop it all off.  I have had women go from very long blonde to short and dark...just to do something totally different.  And in divorce situations, it always seems to happen just before the divorce hearing in court.....
 
As far as this whole Kimberlee thing.....  to be honest, I am so sick of hearing the updates on NOTHING.  PLEASE LEAVE HER ALONE.  It is HER hair...she has to deal with it and work with it each day.  If you are so into cutting hair, why don't you grow yours out and then chop it off!!!

I love talking about hair cutting....I will do it all day with anyone that wants.  Please notice that I have been on this board MUCH longer than about anyone else.
 
There is a point when a desire becomes an unhealthy obsession and I think that is where this whole situation is.  Take a look at how many posts have been devoted to Kimberlee and his desire to have specific cuts/colors.  I would love to know if she knows how much he writes about it and thinks about it.  I think if she knew, an EPO would be coming soon after!!!
