Ok i edited this post as i kinda wrote it wrong lol..
My mum did my hair for me but it keeps turning this shade after weve dyed it after say 2weeks, we have used a Filler however at the beginning stages of dying my hair we didnt know the "Ash brown colour" rule so it was dyed a "Warm brown" (I relise this was a mistake now as it probs contained red tones???) so that was the permanent filler i first dyed it, then we started using semi Ash browns once we relised it apparantly "elimenates red tones" in the hair.
Sorry about this bit of a mystery haa thanks alot for your time your comments are deffo helping none the less!(:
Tyy.
P.s- sorry i didnt mention about the filler you obv thought i hadnt used a filler and dyed it straight off and the highlights were turning Ginger, its all the hair and i didnt think after using a filler first this would of happend? Ty Karen(:

Did you pre - pigment (filler) your hair first, you need to fill in the colour pigment before going darker, pre lightening, bleaching removes the hairs natural colour pigment out of the hair, also semi would wash out, more so with hi lighted hair. You need to use either a quasi (demi) or permanent colour, to allow the colour to penetrate right through to the hair.
My advise is to buy a semi ash brown, apply to the hair, develop, rinse and dry with the hair drier, then apply a demi permanent or permanent colour in your target shade, avoid any warm tones. You will still get a little fading over time, but the more you apply colour the more it will grab onto the hair.
Can I just add, if in future your looking for blonde hi lights, then I would advise you use demi (quasi) colours as permanent colours are harder to lift back out the hair.
I Hope this helps, Karen.
PS I'm surprised your mum never helped you out.
