Hello Everyone,
Now for my latest hair adventure!
One of my New Year's resolutions is to leave my hair alone in 2009 - get my nice thick blonde locks back, as I haven't seen them for 6 years! My natural tone is light ash blonde, although I can't say I really remember what it looks like.
Anyway, over the past few years my hair's been everything from brown to black to purple to red, and amazingly I've successfully gotten it back to a light blonde over the last couple of weeks. The orange tones were eliminated with ash, and I'm very happy with the colour I've got on the main lengths of hair.
However, when bleaching the roots they went white, so the dye I used to counter the orange turned my roots pretty silver, way too ashy. I'm not sure what the best way to get these out would be, I obviously need to add some colour but I don't want to undo the work I've already done on the lengths. Could I use a semi natural blonde on the roots and pull that through the lengths last minute to balance it out, or do I need more golden tones? Bear in mind I have pale pinky skin and grey eyes, I don't suit golden tones at all.
I need help soon, I need to sort out my hair for a date on Monday! Otherwise I'll be wearing a hat!
Thanks for any help,
Lou

If purchase a Demi or Natural instincts or toner in the same shade or lighter, use the tone opposite to neutralize it, if too blue try neutral, orange-gold base, with 10 vol or recommended activating lotion and possibly conditioner just to the roots or overly ash parts, OR Strand TEST!!! first. If the lower portion is the color you desire, keep thick conditioner on it during the procedure & don't apply color to that section.
