which of those would be better? any other pix/reccomendations? and NOTHING WITH RED PLEASE!!
also, should i use a dye a shade darker than the one i want, since my hairs so light? or 2 shades? or what? will my hair turn green, even though it has red in it? thanks!
You will want to test strand to make sure your hair won't turn green. Your hair is light, has blonder highlights, and many ash browns have a green base- this leads to green hair if the hair is too blonde. Since yours is reddish, it might not, but its best to do a test strand to make absolutely sure before you do your whole head. I wouldn't pick a shade darker. Sometimes you want to do that, but sometimes, if you're going to low into the browns and your hair is porous, it will actually absorb more and you risk coming out with black hair...so I'd try first the shade you want and see how that goes on the test strand.
I can't tell you which color is best for you, the best thing to do is go to the mall and pick out shirts that fairly closely match the haircolor you want, go in the dressing room and hold it up to you (or just toss it on your head) and look in the mirror and see what it does for you. Some shades will really enhance a complexion, others will worsen it, and it depends on your undertones which it will be, so best just to test it.
If you decide on ash blonde, pick a blonde with a blue base (or green if you can find it) to counter the red in your hair. Using a green based blonde over light hair won't turn green, but its still best to test strand that too to make sure it does enough to be worth it. You don't want one with a violet based because your hair may come out more orangy. (Be aware that blonde dyes with blue, violet or green bases can all be called "ash" so you need to check the base color, not go by the name).
