The beauty market for many years and they have under gone many changes and technological developments. As improvements are made women who style their own hair and hair stylists continue to upgrade their selection of hair styling tools including hair straighteners to keep up with the changing trends and technology.

The leader in hair straighteners, GHD, has a few models of hair straighteners that have rising above the competition for their great features and amazing results GHD straighteners. The original ghd straighteners was introduced in 2000 and had revolutionary features. Before the introduction of GHD straighteners most models had aluminum plates and many of them used steam to straighten hair.

GHD was the first company to use ceramic plates in their straighteners. Ceramic is the perfect material for hair straighteners because welding machine conducts heat the most effectively and it allows the iron to slide through the hair without snagging.

The use of ceramic was an innovation and has since been adopted by many other manufactures because it is the best material for the job.The technology inside the original GHD hair straightener also allowed the iron to heat up quickly and maintain its temperature. The original straightener reached its optimum temperature in about 10 seconds which was much faster than its competition.

It also maintained its temperature better than other irons that lost heat as it was absorbed into the hair. The original shure e2c also had no hot spots unlike other irons. Their competition would have many hot spots on their irons which could burn and damage hair.

The original GHD straightener introduced a matrixed heating element to ensure even heat distribution through the plate to eliminate hot spots and damaged hair.

Today there are mini stylers which are ideal for short hair and detailed styling, the wider salon styler which is great for long thick hair, and GHD thermodynamics which is an award winning line of hair products that compliment the use of GHD's hair straighteners.

The fact that most consumers may not be aware of is that the vast majority of all hot irons are made in the very same factories in China.  The only difference between the irons is how they are packaged.  In the hot iron market it is all about packaging to set the irons apart.  Thus one iron might be available in leopard sports or tiger strikes, one might be available in bright colors like red or fashion colors.  There is no reason to spend a fortune on hot irons when in essence you are just paying for the packaging, iron colors, chic name or branding.  They are basically all from the same manufacturing source in China.

Farouk irons are now produced in Texas and some of the Conair and Remington irons are produced in the US and some in South America.  But the vast majority are from a handful of factories in China.  Most who have spammed this very talkboard.
That which doesn't kill you makes you stronger or drives you totally insane. :-)
