Need new hairstyle!(w/pics)

Well, im probly one of the few guys that go on here but whatever..
I am tired of having longish hair and want to try something new. 
I was thinking of cutting it really short, but am scared to see how it would turn out :(  I was also thinking of getting it shorter and thinned, then straighten it?

Here is one after my cousin straightend my hair, I usually am wearing a touque.  I wouldnt if my hair was shorter though.
