Should I go back to brown? Different blonde? Pics

Hi everyone,I am 19 and relatively pale.  I have red undertones in my skin, however, which makes me a "cool tone."  I have ash brown hair and brown eyes.  I've always been told that I can't have blonde hair.  I, however, realized that there were some blonde colors that I could pull off.  I dyed my hair with the intention of being an ash blonde.  My hairstylist, however, sort of messed it up.  Instead of bleaching my hair, she just added color.  This left me with a sort of brassy, almost golden/strawberry blonde color.  I've been told that it looks good, but I'm really not so sure.  The other color I've been told that I can do is a white blonde.  I'm considering going that route.  What do you think I should do? Thank you :) So you think I should just dye it brown again?

So what color lighter blonde? I'm not sure what I can do... I mean like, off of this color chart, what would work and what wouldn't? My hairstylist isn't much help, unfortunately http://www.haircolor-tips.com/hair-color-chart-36.html

Just as an update, I've been trying to dye my hair back to brown (I've since decided that blonde wasn't very good on me...) ever since this post and it just hasn't been working for me :( it always fades to orange because of the blonde underneath. I'm working on it!
