An announcer just mentioned that figure skater Rachael Flatt has a new shorter hairstyle.

The photo on the left was one of her senior photos:

She cut it to this:

Her hair now looks just "a hair" longer than the main photo from her official website home page:

I actually like the longer look.  She looks much younger in her short hair than her 18 yrs.  Of course the shorter hair may be easier for her career.

Rachael should have listened to her gut, and kept her long hair that she, and I'm certain the majority of her fans, "loved". Never listen to the International Skating Federation, which is not populated by a preponderance of "straight" guys! This cut reminds me of the terrible short "styles" that Janet Lynn and Michelle Kwan once wore. Dorothy Hamill and Jayne Torville are the only women who ever wore short cuts that I enjoyed seeing on the ice. Rachael's haircut should be put ON ice, IMO. Embarrassed Lovely natural blonde hair should be flaunted, not de-emphasized. Bob
