Hi everyone,

I have been having many obstacles lately when it comes the matching my hair to my extension hair.  I like being a blonde, however the mid-lengths, to the tips of my natural hair have a more reddish hue to them from previously having my hair died black.  I can't find any extensions to match so no matter what ones I pick I need to dye them.  I normally get a light blonde shade of bohyme which normally needs to be toned anyways because it is almost always very yellow.

Can anyone give me advice on dying my bohyme, silky straigth extensions?  I feel like whenever I try they never really darken up.  I don't want to go from pale blonde to medium brown or anything but would like to acheive a more darker blonde but the extensions never seem to reach the color I want and seem to barely change at all.

Can you recommend a good brand of dye to use (I tend to go with Wella) and a 10 vol. developer.  Should I be using something different?  I will post some pictures pf hair colors that I do like and if someone could point my in the right direction of what color dye to use or a bohyme extension color that is pretty close (lighter not darker then what I am looking at) I would really appreciate it.  I don't have their color ring and feel like whatever I pick off the color chart never seems to be right and I would rather have to dye it darker than have to try to lighten it.

Thanks so much...these are my color ideas:  I want to do my hair a little darker underneath, which I love the color of jennifer anistons and a little lighter on top like the picture of Gisele.)  Please let me know the bohyme hair extension colors that are closest to each of these (anything past 14 is too dark, I have ordered that color before.)  Or if anyine can suggest the color dye to use to acheive these colors. Thanks so much!

Do a test strand first. If you are starting with really blonde hair, you need to fill it first so the color will stick.

Thanks so much.  I'm not the most hair savy person, lol, so could you give me some names of fillers?  And then you just do that process first, wash off and then dye it?

If you go to a beauty supply place they can walk you through it. It really depends on what is available in your area.
