Highlighting kit for brunettes?

Hi everyone,

So I'm interested in highlighting my hair before prom and I picked up a kit today. It's the Garnier Nutrisse Cream Frost and Care. I didn't pay too much attention to what I was getting at the time (I should have, grr) and now I'm sorta stuck.

The thing is, I'm south asian and I have dark brown hair. The box and its continents are suspicious because I saw the word blonde pop up a few times. Is this kit going to make me go blonde? There's only one shade within the Frost and Care collection, and as I am indian with brown skin and hair, blonde highlights would be a huge disaster for me.

Has anyone who is brunette tried this kit before? If so, how did it turn out? I really dont wanna ruin my hair before prom!
