QuoteReplyTopic: What haircolor will cover my highlights? Posted: July 28 2011 at 10:10pm
Hi, I was wondering if you could help me with a hair coloring issue. I posted a question similar to this a while ago but never really got an answer, so never changed my hair, but I think I might be able to explain it a bit better now. Here it goes….My natural hair color is a dark brown (2) with red undertones. Currently, it has a medium brown base (3) with dark, medium, and light blonde (6,7,8) highlights throughout. I would say that overall these highlights have a warm, gold tone. The entire top layer of hair is mostly highlights and looks almost completely blonde, but the bottom layer is that dyed, dark brown color. With fall coming, I would like to return to an all-over, dark brown color (think Kristen Stewart), just something that looks very rich. I don't really have a preference for undertone, I guess whatever would be easiest, my skin coloring is warm, but i have had both cool and warm hair colors and I have liked them both. So, know that you know the backstory, my question is, how do I achieve this color? I am really on a budget and would like to just buy hair-dye from a drugstore or Sally's but, I don't know what color to get, or what type of filler to use for my highlights. HELP! (And, thank you for taking the time to read this :) )
