Gone shorter, considerably, and added bangs.  From red to blonde, too!  My opinion: downgrade.

Much to my surprise, I think the bangless and red works much better. The blonde isn't bad exactly, I think it would look better without the dark roots and eyebrows.

Still love her short, layered hair from the first season of Battlestar Galactica the best though.

Didn't realize how unflattering blonde was on Katie until she went dark.  I don't get this either.  She slowly but surely grows her hair out to a length she likes (since she famously was angry about having to go short again mid-series on "Battlestar Gallactica") and finds a great color...only to then scuttle the whole thing.

Hope it's for a movie role, because otherwise she reached her goal spectacularly only to then choose to throw it all away.  In other words, she's the '97 Florida Marlins. Smile
3 pm is simultaneously too late and too early to start anything.

She was on "Longmire" this season and had let her hair grow pretty long

Once taping was concluded, she cut her hair to a longish bob; here she is wearing it curly, which I think looks awesome on her.

Recently, she cut bangs and added a fake ponytail

She needs to stay a little longer than chin length in my opinion; her hair is too thin to be as long as it was on the show.
