Just went to the salon today and I hate my new hairstyle(steamed, layered and normal trim and wash) I cut my front into full front bangs but they looked so horrible I combed them into side swept bangs :

My hair is naturally thick, dry and wavy(no matter what I do- it'll come back like this after I shower Cry).  It's naturally a dark reddish colour but I dyed it black about a few years ago and the colour still hasn't come off -_-.

I'm thinking about growing out my hair and trying out this kinds of hairstyles:

What kinds of hair treatments/serums/shampoos/conditioners/… protection sprays will I need? I'm thinking about buying a Vidal Sasson Hair Straightener and Curler and a normal Panasonic hairdryer. Remember, before you recommmend my hair is VERY thick, dry and awfully wavy.

I want that light, thin, bouncy shiny hair look.

P/S: I'm still a teenager so I can't afford anything expensive. Anything below $20/£12 I can manage LOL.

Thanks ~

Make sure you have a good curling iron or straightener before!
