Thanks for your reply. The thing about make up is that I don't really like to wear it, and on a daily basis as a stay at home mom, don't. I was thinking that if I had some layered bangs that had a piece that ended on the side of my face by my eyes that it might add some width. But I hesitate to do it in case it doesn't work and then I have to deal with styling bangs every day just to go to the store. With 2 kids it isn't always possible to fix yourself up before heading out and still meeting their nap and meal times.

I guess since there have been no responses that I'm not the only one who doesn't know. Usually people try to cater their hairstyle to their face shape or other features, but I've never heard of hairstyle having any effect on how your eye spacing looks. I would suggest if you want your eye spacing to appear different, you look into makeup instead. I remember seeing things in the past about how you wear your eyeshadow effecting eye spacing. One thing you may want to try is putting on eye makeup different ways to see if it has an effect. Try putting your eyeshadow darker towards the outside of the eyes, and use only light colors above the eyes.

Another thing you can try is to wear eyeliner drawn in such a way that a line extends upward and outward on the outer eye corners (with a little bit under the eye as well). You may not want to draw too long a line, one a couple millimeters long may be enough to have the effect and may do just fine.

Also make sure your eyebrows are tweezed to a distance of at least one eye apart (normal eye width would be one eye apart) to help add to the illusion of more width. Hope this was helpful.

Hello. I just found this site and am hoping someone can offer me some suggestions. I feel that my eyes are set too close together. Is there a hairstyle that can help them look better spaced? I currently have straight, brown hair that is shoulder length. It is angled from a little below my chin to the longest length.

I have considered bangs. But perhaps I should metion that my hair has cowlicks in this area and I have had a hard time getting bangs to lay flat in the past. (I was real good at big bangs/hair in the 80's!)

Thanks!
