As you can see, I have a quite big head, apart from that I don't quite know what you should be aware of. thanks :)

Correct, my hair is very thin. I don't think buzz cut would suit me though, as my head is large and my body is not

It may not be really thick, but I think it looks pretty good right now. It's blond and straight with a nice wispy quality. I wouldn't change it too much. You might have someone neaten up the taper in the front and keep the sides well layered, but I think you've got a good look.
