According to this article: "Vanessa Hudgens is the latest young starlet to shear off her long locks in favor of an edgier, shorter 'do." Errmm..but as you can see from the photo below, it really doesn't look like much shearing has been done at all. In fact isn't that just about the length we all knew she had after wearing extensions for a year or so and then finally taking them out? Certainly nothing more than a trim at most. It seems Vanessa did post the picture on her (Twitter?) account with the caption--"Short hair, don't care!"
"What do you guys think of my new do... Any of you cut your hair recently?"
Anyway, this is definitely not "shearing off long locks".

I wouldn't call this long. To me long is waist length. shoulder length I would call this.

There are few young starlets I could care less about than the full-of-herself Vanessa Hudgens, but People Magazine made a big deal of her hombre hair color. I'm betting less than half of the length is actually real hair. Shouldn't People be required to say "extensions" every once in awhile, especially when it's true?

It really just looks like she took out her extensions and had a small trim.
I would think you could fry extensions, especially if they are made from human hair.
As for the LOB, it is not my favorite hairstyle, typically, IMHO, that cut is not one thing or another, not short enough to be short and not long enough to be long. Jennifer Aniston is a great example of where it looks blah. I don't like the way it looks on most women. There are exceptions, one that comes to mind is Ashley Tisdale, I like the look on her, but not in general.
