QuoteReplyTopic: trying to get blonde hair Posted: January 13 2014 at 3:03pm
First, my hair history: my natural hair color is a dark blonde, close to brown. For over a year I had it dyed about a shade lighter. Then I decided to go darker and dyed my hair a medium brown for a little while. Recently I decided to go back to blonde, but I wanted to even lighter than I was before - more of a medium to light blonde.
Three days ago I used to color oops extra strength to strip my hair, and it got it pretty much back to my natural shade. Today, I used a light blonde shade to dye my hair lighter.
Now, for the problem: the dye barely changed my hair color. It might have lightened it a bit, but it's not exactly noticable and not near the shade I want. I knew it would come out darker because my hair is more porous and absorbs the color more, but I didn't think it would look unchanged. What should I do next? Should I just a few days and redye it, or will I need to strip my hair again before I can dye it?
hallelujah
