Where can I actually get these extensions put in? I'm in Ventura, California and I'm having a hell of a time finding someone who does quality work , not to mention someone that has experience. If possible, could you please include the average costs for the labor in your reply? Thanks, Laura
I just discovered this web site. I am a 40 year old woman who has very thin, fine hair, inherited from my grandmother. I have female pattern baldness. I've been able to cover it up for the most part over the years, but now I can't seem to hide my scalp anymore, so I'm looking at more "drastic" solutions, like hair extensions, or hair transplants. Please tell me about hair extensions. Can thin, fine hair hold them? I want something I can tolerate for the rest of my life (with maintenance, of course). I am sick of ducking when I see bright lights overhead, having to wear hats, etc. Thanks in advance for your advice.....meemsp@earthlink.net
I am an entertainer, and had been wearing 3/4 falls. I was tired of the time it took to use them, so I opted for hair extensions. I had first tried a weave and found that it was uncomfortable and after moving around for awhile, it became a tangled mess. Now I have individual braids that are secured with tiny hair elastics. But, they show when I swing my head around. I don't want to use glue, because it is damaging to normal hair let alone, thin, bleached hair like mine. Would Great Lengths work for me? What are hair infusions? And are there any reputable extensionists in the NYC/NJ/CT area who could provise me with non-damaging, non-detectable extensions?

Please, someone with a true knowledge respond to Christiana. I am having very similar problems and have heard so many different things. I too, want to know if someone with very thinning hair that suffers from being brittle and splitting can wear extensions if they are installed by a true expert in this field. I have hypo-thyroid, and have been putting up with this for years, and just want a way to make my hair thicker so not as much time has to be spent on it and not as much styling damage would have to be done to it. Would applying thinner strands than usual, using very fine hair (so the weight would be less stress to the follicles) be a solution that works? Please respond...
