QuoteReplyTopic: can hair refuse to grow back after cancer treatment? Posted: October 02 2001 at 3:16pm
Four years ago, I entered my last year of high school, and there was a ninth grader with no hair or eyebrows. I was told she had leukemia. I was under the impression that cancer and leukemia treatment lasts for up to a year or so, then hair grows back. But I returned to school as a teacher`s assistant this year. I saw the girl today and she still has no hair (plus, I saw previous yearbooks that show the same). Is it possible to have treatment that lasts THIS long, or did her hair maybe refuse to grow again (I remember in my last year, she never seemed to have hair growing then falling out again; she was just consistantly hairless).
