hello!

i`m only 22 years old and i have long hair down to my waist. the problem is, it`s VERY VERY THIN and i seem to be losing too much.. it sheds on the floor and comes out when i shower and brush my hair :( the thing is, it doesn`t come out in "clumps" in particular spots, just seems to be coming from everywhere! i always used to have thin hair but i recently started coloring it for fun, and now i`m worried about it :( it is lank and dull and if i have it in a ponytail, it`s only about an INCH in diameter :( the other problem is i have a dry flaky scalp too, and i dont know how to fix that too. are the two problems directly related?

does anyone have any suggestions on what to do, should i cut it, what shampoos/conditioners to use, other products? i want my hair to be beautiful, shiny, healthy and most of all THICK :( .. or at least, thicker.

please help!

I dont really know all of the answers to your questions but I do know some. To me it seems that your hair is way to long and that it could be the problem for hair loss. Everytime my hair gets longer than usual it falls off everywhere just as your does. My hair is really thin too and if you cut it also makes it feel and look fuller and thicker. I dont think that the coloring would have to do anything with the hair loss. I mean I dont color it and I have the same problem. Also your scalp is not really healthy. Maybe you should ask a stylist to help you find products that would treat your scalp. I don have a bad scalp, so I dont really think it effects hair loss. But maybe I am wrong. I am just telling you this from personal experience. Good luck with your hair.

I think you should see a dermatoligist... You could have a hormonal imbalance...
