AnaisSatin, Snuggles, and Debbie -- thank you for your kind greetings.
Vacation is good, by definition.
I have had horrible problems getting here lately (to the HB boards, that is -- and not due at all to HB). You may have noticed I've been kinda quiet lately... or maybe not.

Jacqui, I got my necessary supplies at the store the other day.... water... bread... beer. At this moment signs that the storm approaches are evident. It's getting breezy and those funky-looking clouds keep rolling by. Hope my neighbor brings in their patio furniture soon.
I know what you mean! My neighbor has lawn chairs out there....pretty scary. Just got my power back this morning and it is so nice to get back on the computer!! Hope you made it through OK and didn't run out of beer!
I guess we need to run back out and get more ice before Ivan gets here.
My hair did not like being without air conditioning.

I got my power back after "only" about 1 day without. Some people I work with still haven't had it restored.
I didn't like being without A/C. I didn't feel like drinking the beer at all. Just water. Unfortunately, cold water was a precious commodity -- and just not available.
Ivan. Ugh.

That really stinks. I love the southeastern coast (so wonderful), but I am really not appreciative of the tropical storms - unlike tornadoes and earthquakes, it's almost like a given that they'll happen, and I just would not like that...hehe. Probably torment me :P
Hi Dave.... Mind sharing where you vacationed and if you noticed any interesting hair trends? I spent last week working in Salt Lake City and was amazed at the number of bi-colored color jobs I saw. That trend sort of came and went here in the south with out much interest. However the SLC area must love it. Saw many many blonde/browns, black/browns, brown/gols. Style and length didn't seem to matter but I guess it was a little more prevelant in the layered styles.

Although vacation focused primarily on spending time with (and devoting my attention to) family (mostly short-haired) and friends (some short-haired, some long-haired), not so much on observing others, everywhere I went I noticed a trend toward somewhat longer hair for girls and young-to-middle-age women, but still ultra-short for boys and men. The girls and women were wearing their long hair in a variety of ways.
