I'm just going to tell you about my experience with dyeing my black Asian hair red (a home job!). I used blonding creme which made my hair go orange and then I dyed it bright red. As for roots...well...they were pretty gross, but I was in Year 10 then so no-one really cared! If worse comes to worse just use a more sublte colour like purpley-red so that it only shows up in the sun. Or just dye your hair back to black which was what I did eventually.> im thai-viet and wanting to colour my black hair.> ive done semis but they arent noticable on black hair.> i want a noticeable change and something different.> i was going to get bright copper highlights but all> the asian guys are getting that now.> i was thinking a bright red-pink but i would have to> do it permanant so is the regrowth look ok? or red> streaks? or should i just lighten my hair to a> brown-gold??? whats in for asian hair????> any advice would be VERY MUCH appreciated!!!!

Instead of dying your hair "bright red-pink", try a more substle color since this is your first time dying your hair, right? Why not Auburn Brown if you want to lighten your hair color, or if you want to treasure your natural gift try burgandy black.

i agree if it is your first time, you should not go drastic all of a sudden.it would maybe be too much for you and other people that know you.especially if you do not like it.for a guy i don't think a bright red-pink would be to wise to pick also.even on girls.i saw that on an asian girl that went to my school and it looked pretty bad.but i see that you want to be unique and i say go for it.but just play around with hair cuts along with the selected hair color you got and you should be fine.but please remember don't do it all at once.
