hey u guys!listen i would REEEEALLY appreciate your help. i have naturally curly hair. its fine, not thick. there are many many small curls in the front and they tend to dry really fast. but, my problem is is that i look better with straight hair (dont get me started. lol) and whenever i try to straighten it, it turns out like wavy like the 40s hairstyles, because i can never get it completely straight..especially in the front. i've tried, blowdrying with a metal round brush, using a curling iron, and a curling iron/blow dryer combo thing. you know those things? anyway, please help. also, i had my hair highlighted weaved in, and my hair tends to be dry. please keep these in mind when u respond! thanks! and PLLLLEASE respond!! thank you. merry xmas. nikki :p

have you tried the "Straight Styles" straightening iron by CONAIR? that is what i use and it works great on my hair. my hair is naturally wavy. the iron uses steam and it doesnt dry out my hair too much when i use it so thats good. my hair is like really straight after i use it. give it a try. um, i think you can order it off www.conair.com if you cant find it in the stores. merry christmas

When i straighten my naturally curly hair I put a smoothing mousse through it, or I also use hair serum like John Frieda's "Frizz Ease" which works really well. Ithink conditioning beforehand is really important too. Then I take a small section from the back, pin the rest up and use a round bristle brush to dry this section straight. You just keep on taking small sections until it is all straight. It works for me! GOOD LUCK!!

hey Nikki....
I don't know if u've already tried it but what I use is a hair straightening iron/brush in one. Steam is released from it so your hair stays damp and doesn't dry out. It's from a company called CONAIR...try it, it may work....

straightening the hair is perming but in reverves order. a relax straightener also known as a chemical relaxer is pull throught the hair with a comb. so in other words alll you have to do is get the perm lotin and comb it through alover the hair untill it is straight. the result is permanant and you have to wait for it to grow out just like if you were having a perm really.
if you want to know anything else then just e-mail me at
michelle17uk@hotmail.com
i hope this will work for you.and dont forget that it is permanant so it can last for about 5 months. you have to go to a salon to get this done

Hi, Michelle. I saw your message and it seems you know what your talking about. I too have stubborn hair that is naturally wavvy. I`ve been blowdrying it for the past 17 years. I don`t want to use my straightening iron because I find I it does dry out your hair. Also I get my hair highlighted so thats a lot of stress as well. I`m looking for a product or a salon that can make my hair super straight. I see famous people and African American women who have curlier hair than me, and they get their haie bone straight. Please get back to me.
Thanks. Beverly
