Hello all - I stumbled onto this board, and was amazed at the kind of advice given. Good job, all.
Now my problem : I have short strawberry blonde hair, and I intend to grow it out. It's really thick (when I go into salons I get two comments : wow, that's a nice red color, and this is some of the thickest hair I've ever seen). I want to do something with it when I get back from travelling this summer, and I want that to be completely different - diff. cut and color. It's, like I said, just a basic crewcut, all one length, lays flat on my head. It's very thick, strawberry blonde. I have light skin color (very freckly, it's a throwback to Scottish heritage), and I have light blonde eyebrows and facial hair.
Help? please? send help to redcrew@hotmail.com, too.

I'm a guy and I get the same comments at the salon. My hair is also pretty thick but dark brown with natural redish highlights. How long do you want to let your hair grow out? I love my hair it is cut in a layered bob below my ears with bangs. This style has a lot of versatility and movmement. Anyway, depending on how long you want to grow it out maybe someone can help.
whatever you do don't spike it! For some reason, this cheap look is all the rage. It makes you look scary. What i'd suggest (let's just say it's a gut feeling) is that you grow out the crewcut AT LEAST to a short but voluminous length and get sideburns if you don't already have a full beard (then don't shave!). Or even better: how about doing honor to your Celtic ancestors and growing it longer (at least shoulder length) and wearing it in a ponytail along with the 'burns? Crewcuts are boring, all over the place ,and in my opinion they don't look too good.
