QuoteReplyTopic: Excluded from school for a haircut! Posted: June 01 2000 at 3:43pm
A 13 year old boy from round my way in the UK liked to copy the hairstyle of his favourite soccer star, England's No.1 player David Beckham. His hair was in the floppy style, like Hugh Grant but with longer bangs. All was OK until the player had a buzz cut, and when the schoolboy followed suit he was immediately expelled for "not keeping up proper standards"! I find this incredible. Would this happen in the States? I'd be interested to know.
Most likely not! Buzz cuts are very popular lately, at least with younger boys. (i'd say about 10 and under). So, it's allowed in school. What does this boy have to do while his hair is growing out? will other schools let him in?

In my school nobody has every been excluded for a haircut. but students are often sent home for hair colors. Our handbook says if they color is unnatural the student will be sent home until it is fixed. Even if it's an accident. But yet we have jocks and cheerleaders running around with bleach blonde hair. Is that a natural color?
