Seriously get real men! Some women grow their hair and don`t care about the fact that they have long hair. Hard to believe but it does happen a lot more than you think.
Reality is he wouldn`t be showing this if there were no participants!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You wouldn`t see me or anyone that really cares about her long hair on these shows or accept any amount of money. The ones you see really want to do this so what is your problem. You live a country that is supposely free of choices. YOu can`t sell something if you don`t have the product or the market to do so.

I don`t watch talk shows, but I can tell you that the people who go on those shows - for WHATEVER reason - do so of their own volition! I gather from these posts that they`re doing makeovers -- with stylists cutting off women`s long hair. Why is that so horrible? Long hair can be gorgeous, but so can short hair! For those who want to be outraged over something as trivial as this, I`d sure like to give you a list of activist`s causes that are REALLY worthwhile! :-)

Diane, I think most of your comment is polemics but no argumentation: "...that they don`t see what is real about the topic of hair and think the end of the world is here..." How can you proclaim for yourself to have grasp the reality? And who has told that the end of the world is here in view of a hair cut? The facts are that there exist people that take care of hair and others who don`t. And all the people who have given statements about this shows and doesn`t match your opinion can not be put in the same pot, that would imply that you have the better insight, the greater intelligence or even the better opinion. This is exact your statement about the brain cells of others.

To Juniper I want to say that the different between very long hair presented in this shows and short hair is evident. Short hair can be reached by everyone in seconds, so it can not be a big deal. Very long hair that looks beautiful is exceptional and needs a lot of care and a lot of time. If you will change it to a triviality there are a lot of things in society that are very trivial but seem to be very important for human beings, it is just the point of view behind.

I think everything around fashion can be considered to be trivial, the same is true with sports and the identification with the winner and contempt for the looser. I think everything what is used to build up the own ego only with feelings using foreign effort is trivial. I would like it if people will come to the insight that only the personal effort will give the stuff for appreciation and non trivialities.

After my opinion a very long hair that is created by a woman fulfills this. I don`t know if it is her free decision to come to this TV events or not and I don`t judge about this. I know that everone tries sometimes to be pleasant for his relatives (they definitely are argumenting for the hair cuts), but what have they to contribute to this cutovers that comes from their own? How will you disprove the argument that they are only parasites who use the occasion to present themselves in a national wide spot light, but there is nothing behind them that really would justify this?

My father was an army man and always told me to watch what people say and their actions. YOur words among others have shown many many times that YOu and some others cannot accept that women do make up their own minds about their hair and when they go against YOUR OWN BELIEFS right away you and others think " oh it must be Maury fault and other talk shows`` You and some others go on and on how these women are victims which in fact these American women do live in a country that is pretty much free of making their own decisions and no show producers have been to their door with guns forcing them to go on the shows. Noone has went against the law of the USA and force any woman to appear on the show and cut their hair. There are no guard waiting outside the stage waiting to catch a woman that changes her mind or whatever. The fact that I hit a soft spot within you means I hit the nail on the head! If the shoe fits one wears it and you wore the shoe. YOu cannot handle that I am straight forward and tell it the way it is and the logical fact is it is full of bullshit to start such hatred toward talk shows and blaming others when the reality is that these women wanted to go on the talk show and do it!!!!!!!! It is pretty plain and white situation and what how many times I have read articles written by men on the internet thinking that these women are victims and must have be forced in some ways. It is one thing to say " I hate seeing women cut their hair" but it is very much another thing when some men like yourself think that they are victims and there is a conspirary and sad part is to some men they really believe that there is a conspirary. Hair is created by God and it is suppose to be beautiful not used to control what women feel or think by a group of men.

I just realized that you probably don`t know who is Red Green with his duct tape. HE is a Canadian comedian that is very popular and creates everything with duct tape while the belief is that women also should carry duct tape to tape anything that moves. lol I love that man.
