Hey guys, this is my first time here and need some advice, I am 18/m with brown hair w/ blonde h/l and have been going for that messy look, my stylist have been trimming the sides on a 1 (very short next to bald) and having the top at about an inch or so, the problem is that it just looks like crappy, and falls a few hours later leaving me with with this horrible look, and I have been lately having it all foward and spiking my bangs. What should I do? Do you think it would look better if the sides grew out? and the top was a little longer? I tell myself that i am going to do but i just cant stand how it gets shaggy on the sides and parts stick out and look bad, I need help. What do you think? Is my hair to fine? What product should I use if i go for the messy look?
Any advice you could give me would be GREATLY appreicated....and I would actually know what to do with my hair

thank you in advance if you post!

Travis

PS i am thinking of going to a dirty blonde..but i dont know

Okay- back away from the style books and hair growing products and pick something up at the salon - (two words) TEXTURING CREAM! The prob is probably that your hair is to thin to hold the style - so wash it with a volumizing shampoo, and then run the magic cream through it. I use TEXtureline texturing cream. (BONUS: it smells like pineapples!) then use a gel and spike it up by running your fingers through it. Top it off with a 2 in 1 shine and hair spray and your done! I have long brown hair and I do all of the above except for the spiking 2 my hair and it makes it super thick and wavy so may b itll work 4 u! Let all of us no if it works!

Thanx for the advice I will make sure that i go and get some, can i find Textureline at my local salon? I dont think i have ever heard of it. Will the texture cream make my hair stiff? I want more of a natural look, so i am trying to stay away from the stiff stuff

anyways thanks for the help! I appreciate it
