HELP PLEASE..how do you faid strong colord streaks

hey!!please help me!!i got my hair colored on the crown of my hair.the person who did my hair said that the color she was putting in was going to work really relly good with my hair so i trusted her.....but its way way to strong ...i like the corlors but i need them to be a little bit lighter so if you have any good tips on faiding the colors just a little that would help me a TON!! school is starting and i have to get pics soon!!and it will look really bad!!thanx sooooo much!!
