About a year and a half ago I had my waist length hair cut up to my shoulders my a stylist who did not understand what I wanted, and since i had my hair cut short already I figured I`d take the opportunity to go real short and get a pixie. Since then, my hair has grown almost down to my shoulders again. I wanna grow it long again but I also wanna go short again. I don`t feel like waiting all that time to grow my hair really long, but if I cut it short again, thenit will take even longer to grow again if I want to. What should I do? I am considering a lot of things including even a short pixie like I had before. I`m gonna try to get it done (if I get anything done) by the time school starts. Any suggestions would be quite helpful.
yeah, I know i won`t wanna grow it back if i get a pixie, thats why I am deciding if I want to grow it back cause then I won`t get a pixie. I mean I did like having really short hair but I liked having really long hair too i just don`t like this in between stuff much so I either want to get it short again or just let it grow really long again.
If you are undecided, why don`t you go for a style which you have never had. Maybe a layered bob or keep the length and go with short, choppy, thick bangs. Try a new color or highlights also. It is good to experiment with new styles/colors and it sounds like you are at the point to try something new. Let me your current color, texture and face shape and I can come up with specific styles for you.
Your problem is that you want to change *now* and don`t want to wait until your hair grows out.
Sounds like you`re the impulsive type, and that you like to change a lot. Seems like short hair suits you best.. maybe you should get it cut a little shorter than before, if you like to experiment. (Dye, for example, doesn`t take as long to grow out)
As for growing it out... if you`re bored with your hair now, imagine how bored you`ll be in the one or two years it`ll take to grow your hair really long again!
Well, I have an appointment coming up with the idiot stylist who cut my hair off by surprise. Although we laugh about it now and I ended up liking the pixie. I narrowed it down to 3 choices, either a short pixie, a chin legnth bob, or just a trim to le my hair grow out. I`d say the pixie is probobly what I`m gonna do but I don`t know yet. But I`ll keep you updated.
